June 16, 2010 6:11 AM CDT | Entertainment

The Winnipeg Art Gallery is preparing for this Sunday’s O CanadART Open House, packed with fun activities for the entire family, including Dad, to enjoy on Father’s Day.

Canadian art will be the center piece of attraction during the event, which will include a BBQ on the rooftop sculpture garden from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. An exclusive visit to WAG’s art vault will also be offered for the first time ever to the public.

Entertainers and artists from Folklorama will keep the crowd engaged inside and outside the building, while the young ones get involved in all the children’s activities including art-making, games like ribbon sticks and shape baskets, and more.

Admission to the open house from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. is free, but a nominal charge will apply for the rooftop BBQ.
