The ALS Society of Manitoba is hoping fans at June 24th’s Winnipeg Goldeyes game are in a generous mood.
The society, which helps fund research to find a cure for the neuromuscular disease affecting roughly 3,000 Canadians, will pass around batting helmets through the stands during a between-inning break.
All money raised in the helmet pass will go towards providing support services to people living with ALS right here in Manitoba.
The Goldeyes will be taking on the Redford RiverHawks at Canwest Park beginning at 7 p.m. on the 24th.
