Organizers of the Winnipeg Fringe Festival are anxiously awaiting the start of the 12-day festival, and on Wednesday, they released details of the upcoming “Fringe and Beyond: Going Where No Fringe Has Gone Before.”
The 2010 festival includes 155 companies from all over the universe, performing in 25 venues. The outdoor stage at Old Market Square will provide entertainment both during the day and at night. Both Albert and Arthur Street between Bannatyne and McDermot will be closed to traffic during the event, adding a street festival feel to the Fringe.
The festival runs July 14-25 and advance tickets go on sale on Monday, June 21 at WinnipegFringe.com and at the MTC box office by calling 942-6537.
