For the second night in a row, the city’s Insect Control Branch will continue fogging for mosquitoes.

Crews began Saturday night in the vast majority of areas around the city using insecticide Malathion 95ULV — a Health Canada approved pesticide.

An updated list of areas to be fogged will be posted on Winnipeg.ca/bugline by 1:30 p.m. today.

The weather forecast should be ideal for fogging tonight, as crews cannot fog in temperatures below 13°C or during strong winds. Environment Canada is calling for mild temperatures and calm winds.

Residents wanting to request a buffer zone can contact 311, but must provide 72 hours notice before a 100 metre zone is registered.

Fogging will continue nightly until further notice.
