A cinematographer from Oxnard, CA is continuing his passion for homemade high altitude weather balloons equipped with cameras.
Colin Rich recently launched his latest project, Pacific Star II, 125,000 feet above the earth, which automatically snapped photos and recorded video along the way.
Watch:
The balloon burst and landed several miles from where it was launched, but not before taking about 35 minutes to descend back down.
Rich’s video has received nearly 70,000 views since being uploaded last week.
