On the day the Winnipeg Goldeyes return to Canwest Park after being on the road last week, manager Rick Forney has made some changes to the team’s roster.
The Goldeyes have landed outfielder Justin Justice from the Joliet JackHammers for a player to be named later.
The 25-year-old is batting .242 this season with a home run and three RBI in 20 games. Justice helped the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks win the Northern League Championship last year, and hit .277 with 13 home runs in 2009. He was second in the NL with eight triples and fourth in slugging percentage at .524.
The Fish have also placed Casey Hodges on the active roster from the inactive list, where he has remained since training camp on May 19.
Another move sees Bobby Korecky placed on the disabled list while he tends to a personal matter. He is scheduled to rejoin the club on Wednesday.
The Goldeyes take on the Gary SouthShore RailCats tonight at 7 p.m. Hopefully the rain tapers off by then.
