She wants to become the next city councillor for Charleswood-Tuxedo, and on Thursday, Paula Havixbeck discussed her priorities and plans during a campaign launch.

Havixbeck is looking to fill the seat left vacant by the late Bill Clement, who passed away in May.
During a news conference at Assiniboine Park, the business instructor from the University of Manitoba touched on three main points to focus her efforts on: safe communities, recreational facilities and infrastructure.
Havixbeck is one of three potential candidates for the Charleswood ward, and has also received endorsement from the United Firefighters of Winnipeg.
