These posts seem to be getting repetitive, but once again, this week’s Lotto Max jackpot is a record in Canada.
After three weeks in a row of a $50 million pot, no one has been declared a winner. For the fourth week now, the jackpot has climbed to $50 million, with fifty-five $1 million prizes also being drawn.
Criticism has been mounting over how the jackpot hasn’t risen with all the additional tickets being purchased, but Lotto Max hasn’t commented on why they’ve only kicked up the single prizes to a few million extra. Disgruntled non-winning ticket buyers have called out the lottery for being “cheap.”
You have until 8 p.m. to purchase your ticket. The winning numbers won’t be posted until early Saturday morning if the demand for tickets remains high.
