Winnipeg North’s NDP community is set to roast mayoral candidate Judy Wasylycia-Leis tonight to celebrate her 13 years in Parliament.
The former MP will be the center of attention for the roast at the Ukrainian Labour Temple put on by the Winnipeg North New Democratic Party Riding Association.
On Friday, Wasylycia-Leis gave a speech to a group of business owners, where she promised to set up a “business advisory council” within a month if she’s elected.
The event tonight begins at 6 p.m. with cocktails, followed by dinner and speakers.
