Another candidate hoping to win the Charleswood-Tuxedo city councillor seat will announce his candidacy later today.
Jarret Hannah, former radio personality and president of Gel Marketing Group, has called a 12:30 p.m. news conference to declare his intentions to run in the seat once held by the late Bill Clement.
Hannah makes it clear he is the only candidate running without any party affiliation, noting other candidates Paula Havixbeck and Cheryl Conley-Strange have been endorsed by the Tories and Manitoba Liberal Party, respectively.
“Paula and Cheryl are accomplished individuals, but having to make decisions based on partisan ties causes gridlock at City Hall,” said Hannah.
Voters head to the polls on October 27.
