Thousands of people celebrated Canada’s 143rd birthday on Thursday at venues across the country. Here in Winnipeg, the most popular location was The Forks, where the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra and The Waking Eyes entertained on the Scotiabank Stage. Other local acts were also part of the stellar lineup, and a spectacular fireworks display closed the evening.
