After a brief break from those annoying vuvuzela horns at the World Cup earlier this week, soccer action is heating up again, and local watering holes are hosting parties for each competing team this weekend.

If you’re a Brazil fan, Hermanos Restaurant at 179 Bannatyne Avenue is the place to be at 8:45 a.m. today, while fans of the Netherlands will gather at Boston Pizza downtown inside Cityplace.

This afternoon’s match up will see Ghana vs. Uruguay, as Ghana fans will pack Les Touche at 555 Balmoral Street and Uruguay supporters will flock to Hermanos.

Here’s where you can catch World Cup parties on Saturday:

Argentina vs. Germany at 8:45 a.m.
Argentina fans: Centro Caboto Centre at 1055 Wilkes Avenue.
German fans: Germany Society of Winnipeg at Flora and Charles.

Spain vs. Paraguay at 1:15 p.m.
Paraguay fans: Smitty’s Restaurant at 1512 Regent Ave.
Spain fans: TBD

CBC Manitoba will be at all of the above venues shooting crowd reaction.
