A Vancouver blogger is stopping in Winnipeg later today as part of a 10-day road trip that will see him play ball hockey in nine cities to collect food donations and money for food banks across the country.
Richard Loat is using social media to coordinate with hockey fans and bloggers from Montreal to Vancouver.
Loat is working with food banks at each stop and will be in Winnipeg at 1:30 p.m. for a game of ball hockey at Earl Grey Community Centre in support of Winnipeg Harvest.
The public is invited to celebrate sport and community by coming out and playing in Five Hole for Food. Participants and spectators are encouraged to bring food donations to the game.
