A single-vehicle rollover claimed the life of a 21-year-old Shilo man early Saturday morning.

RCMP say a 1993 Toyota Tacoma truck was heading north on PR 340 near Wawanesa when the driver lost control about six miles south of Shilo.

The crash happened shortly before 4:30 a.m. when the vehicle rolled two times sending both the driver and passenger to hospital. The male driver was pronounced dead in hospital, while his 21-year-old male passenger from Brandon was released with minor injuries.

Poor road conditions and alcohol are considered contributing factors in the crash.

The investigation continues.
