A Bombers game, Goldeyes game, and the Winnipeg Folk Festival. There wasn’t a shortage of things to do on Friday, and Manitobans took advantage of all of them with the gorgeous weather we were graced with.
Over at Birds Hill Park, Oscar Brand (above) graced the stage and held a Q&A session discussing his lengthy career as a singer-songwriter and radio broadcaster. Brand was the first host of the festival back in 1974 and has hosted more folk festivals since then than he can count.
Tonight’s main stage lineup includes Etran Finatawa, Works Progress Administration, Hot Tuna, The Cat Empire and Arrested Development.
