If you want to party like a movie star at the upcoming Gimli Film Festival, you don’t have to be an actor or producer to do it. In fact, you don’t have to be in the filmmaking industry at all.
Organizers are opening up discussions, conversations and intimate sessions with seasoned filmmakers to the public from July 21-25.
The Industry Program was established to provide audiences and both emerging and seasoned filmmakers with opportunities to engage in professional development, education and inspiration.
Networking functions — most people know them simply as ‘parties’ — include the 10th Anniversary Opening Night Party July 21 at the Lakeview Resort, After Party at Cronshaws Pub July 22, Manitoba Filmmakers Reception/High Life After Party at the top of The Waterfront Centre July 23 and the “It’s A Wrap” Party at the Lakeview Resort on July 25.
Tickets for industry programs are available at GimliFilm.com or at the door for $10.00 or $5.00 for students. An Industry Pass is available to anyone for $80.00 and allows access to all films, programs and hospitality events. More information is available by calling (204) 642-8846.
