The entertainment lineup for next weekend’s Super-Spike volleyball tournament has been finalized.
The two-day event runs July 23 and 24 at Maple Grove Rugby Park and will feature the Dust Rhino’s to kick things off Friday night. Sketch Williams, and Tin Foil Phoenix performing a Coldplay tribute will follow on the main stage.
Redbull DJ’s will also be performing in the beer gardens once the main stage is completed Friday night. The Black Out City Kids will perform on Saturday, along with the Afterbeat, the Hitmen, Effect & Cause, and weekend headliners Hollerado and Social Code. Dow Jones will be performing at the ‘Redbull Beach Party’ to close off the event.
Over 180 teams will compete at this year’s Super-Spike, making it the largest organized volleyball tournament in the province.
Super-Spike team registrations are still being accepted until midnight on Monday, July 19, with recreational, intermediate, competitive and corporate challenge divisions open for co-ed teams of 6’s. All Super-Spike tournament participants receive free access for the concert series and on-site festivities.
Festival passes for those not in the tournament are $25 for the weekend and are on sale now at Ticketmaster.
All profits raised from the event go towards supporting our National Women’s Volleyball team based in Winnipeg.
