The Winnipeg Art Gallery’s Jazz on the Rooftop concert series continues Thursday, July 29 with a vibrant trio featuring a former member of The Guess Who.

Swing Soniq is an all-acoustic blend of three amazing musical talents — Greg Leskiw, Brent Parkin and Gilles Fournier — who celebrate the sounds of the 30s and 40s with their own version of contemporary jazz-swing.

A former member of The Guess Who, Swing Soniq leader Greg Leskiw toured Canada, the U.S., and Europe with them, performing for Britain’s Royal Family and at the White House.

Doors open at 6 p.m. with the BBQ running until 7 p.m. The show will get underway at 7:30 p.m. with limited, formal seating.

Tickets for WAG members are $21, $23 for seniors and students, and $25 for adults. Tickets are available in person at the WAG or through all Ticketmaster outlets.

Tickets are also on sale for the remaining Jazz on the Rooftop concerts, including Walle Larsson on August 12, U of M Jazz Camp Faculty on August 19, and Big Dave McLean on August 26.
