Two children are in hospital after the ATV they were driving collided with a truck.

RCMP say an 11-year-old child was behind the wheel of the ATV with a nine-year-old passenger when it hit a westbound truck on PR 203 near Carrick, Manitoba.

The accident happened at around 5 p.m. on Saturday in the RM of Piney.

Both children were transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries and are listed in stable condition.

The driver and passenger of the truck were also taken to hospital where they were treated and released.

Alcohol is not considered a factor and charges are pending.
