A free screening of the award-winning documentary “Babies” is planned for Thursday, August 12 at Empire Grant Park 8 Cinema.
World Vision and Alliance Films are presenting the screening, which stops in Winnipeg before touring Edmonton, Halifax, Toronto, Vancouver and Saskatoon.
“Babies” is dedicated to creating awareness about child and maternal health issues in developing countries and to celebrating the upcoming release of the film on DVD August 31.
The film is an uplifting and visually stunning documentary that follows four babies from Namibia, Mongolia, Japan and the United States, from birth to first steps, joyfully capturing the earliest and most crucial stages of life.
The 79-minute screening takes place in Cinema 1 beginning at 7 p.m.
