Two Vehicle Crash Snarls Traffic on Ellice Avenue

A two vehicle crash between a taxicab and a Honda Civic blocked traffic in the area of Ellice Avenue and Hargrave Street Friday afternoon.

The collision happened shortly after 2 p.m. and closed Ellice from Donald Street to Carlton Street. Northbound Hargrave was open in one lane.

Details on what led to the crash are minimal, but the nearby Ken’s Restaurant suffered damage to its exterior as a result of the accident. Staff inside the restaurant were not injured.

Police spokesperson Const. Jacqueline Chaput tells us there were no serious injuries.

UPDATE: 4:59 p.m. — Police say three pedestrians were hit as a result of the crash. A 32-year-old woman was transported to hospital in unstable condition, but has since been upgraded to stable/guarded condition. A 50-year-old man and a young girl were also taken to hospital, where they’re listed in stable condition.
