A unique venue has been created for a five-day music festival this week at The Forks.
The River Barge Festival runs August 25-29 and will see bands performing on a floating barge in front of the Forks’ Historic Port.
The free festival includes performances by the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra, Manitoba Theatre Centre, Fred Penner, The Romi Mayes Band and many more.
The festival is being presented by the Winnipeg Cultural Capital of Canada 2010 and The Forks.
