Making a glass claim on your vehicle just got easier after Manitoba Public Insurance removed one of two steps motorists had to go through to complete the process.

Effective today, glass repair facilities will be able to register a glass claim through a new web application on behalf of customers.

eGlassClaim will interface with MPI’s claims systems and enable customers to initiate glass claims at the repair shop of their choosing. Under the old system, customers were required to report claims to MPI’s Call Centre first.

The new process will also reduce the number of calls to MPI’s Call Centre for registering routine glass claims, allowing call staff to provide even greater service to other customer’s needs.

Participation in the new program is optional, but all glass repair shops in Manitoba have been invited to use it, says MPI.
