A truck carrying water slid off the road on Waverley Street late Friday afternoon during the start of the rush hour.
Another truck arrived to attempt to tow it out, as it sat halfway in the ditch between Lee Boulevard and Bison Drive. The truck’s back wheels were completely submerged in the soft sandy shoulder.
It’s unclear what caused the mishap, but traffic in the northbound lane was slowed down as motorists maneuvered around the vehicle.
