A 32-year-old man from McLean, Saskatchewan died on Sunday in a workplace accident near Virden in the RM of Pipestone.
RCMP say the man was working at an oil drilling site with large metal pipes when the load shifted. The man was pinned between them before being freed by coworkers.
He was transferred to Virden Medical Center, but efforts to save him were unsuccessful and he succumbed to his injuries.
RCMP and Manitoba Workplace Health and Safety continue to investigate the fatality.
