Police Take Down Alleged Robbery Suspects, Release Them

September 7, 2010 7:08 AM | News

Winnipeg police had their hands full over the long weekend, with everything from a fatal stabbing, a shooting, a robbery involving pepper spray, and that incredible fire that destroyed a parked van on Hill Street.

Early Sunday morning, police responded to another call surrounding an armed robbery. A witness gave police descriptions of the suspects involved and the vehicle they were driving. Shortly after, police spotted what they thought was the vehicle and suspects in the area of Kennedy Street and Cumberland Avenue. The two men arrested were not involved in the robbery and were later released by police without charges.
