It was not a good weekend for football in the province. We all know what happened to the Blue Bombers in Regina, but before the Labour Day Classic, the Manitoba Bisons were dealt their own loss in the same city.
The Herd played their first game of the season against the Regina Rams on Friday night, where the Rams intercepted multiple passes, including six fumbles and four interceptions. The Rams won 45-11.
Head coach Brian Dobie says despite the loss, the team played hard and aggressive. Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough to fend off the Rams.
Watch:
The Bisons will hopefully come back strong when they host Alberta at home Saturday afternoon. Game time is 2 p.m. at University Stadium.
