Mayoral candidate Judy Wasylycia-Leis is anticipating a packed house Wednesday night during her “Judy for Mayor” fundraising concert at Fort Gibraltar in St. Boniface.

The night will include entertainment by Winnipeg band The Magnificent 7’s, the Aboriginal School of Dance, and singer Vina Dimayuga.

If Judy wasn’t running against incumbent Mayor Sam Katz, one of the above acts might have been Les Sexy, a band that Katz’s communications director Brad Salyn is in. A volunteer on Wasylycia-Leis’ campaign unknowingly asked the band to perform, in which Salyn plays the drums. Obviously the band turned down the invitation.

Tickets for tomorrow night’s fundraiser are available at the door for $5. The show runs from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
