Reconstruction of the railway crossing between Sheppard Street and the appropriately named Railway Street will force Selkirk Avenue to close this week.
Beginning Tuesday at 9 a.m., Selkirk will be closed to through traffic until Friday at 7 a.m.
The city has repaired nearly a dozen railway crossings in Winnipeg during recent months. The reconstruction includes the smoothing of surfaces where the road meets the tracks.
Motorists are reminded to allow additional travel time and to use alternate routes.
