Winnipeg’s Keith and Renée have been chosen to be included on the CBC Radio 3 / David Suzuki Foundation’s Playlist for the Planet CD.

The local musical duo was one of eleven artists picked from over 600 entries throughout Canada. Their song, “The One,” is on the band’s latest CD, Detours.

The song was written shortly after Keith and Renée returned from Kenya. They were inspired by the determination of the people who live there to build a better community. The band are musical ambassadors for the humanitarian organization Free the Children.

Advance copies of the Playlist for the Planet album will be available in November through David Suzuki Foundation’s holiday catalogue. All money raised from the sale of Playlist for the Planet will support the David Suzuki Foundation’s science-based environmental work.
