Cultural diversity across Canada was being showcased this weekend as Culture Days was held at a handful of locations throughout Winnipeg and the rest of the province.

The celebration of arts and culture began Friday at The Forks, where local artists and musicians honed their craft for the public and members of the media.

A bus tour took invited guests and a number of people from Winnipeg’s arts community on a backstage tour of the new Cercle Molière Theatre in St. Boniface, where a technical rehearsal was held, followed by a Q&A session.

From there it was on to the Royal Winnipeg Ballet to see performers in the production “Dracula” bend in ways that made you sore just watching it.

If you didn’t get a chance to head out on Friday or Saturday, there’s still a full day left to take in the activities. Many visitors have been comparing the three-day event to a mini Folklorama, which organizers are taking as a huge compliment.
