The Winnipeg Goldeyes will get national exposure Tuesday when the segment filmed at Canwest Park as part of “The Rick Mercer Report” airs.

Rick Mercer and his crew were at the ballpark in late August learning all about baseball, and even how to throw a perfect pitch. Mercer spent the entire day at the park and made an appearance during a home game, where he acted out a skit in front of 7,000 Goldeyes fans.

“The Goldeyes are honoured to be featured on one of the most popular made-in-Canada television shows,” said Andrew Collier, Goldeyes GM. “The entire staff had a great time spending the day with Rick.”

The show will air at 8 p.m. CT tomorrow on CBC.
