Shaw TV Documentary Follows Winnipeg’s Tac Team

September 30, 2010 7:41 AM | Entertainment

Shaw TV is known for its light-hearted community programming, but beginning today, the first of a two-part series looking at the Winnipeg Police Tactical Support Team will air.

Watch:

Crime-fighting reporter Meera Bahadoosingh — and her brave cameraman Tanner Grywinski — ride along with the police to get a behind the scenes look at how the Tac Team trains physically and mentally to rid Winnipeg streets of the worst criminals out there.

“Our cameras are rolling as they execute a search warrant and we arrive to a home in the North End just minutes after a man is shot and killed,” Bahadoosingh said of the documentary. If that’s not a big enough tease to watch this local edition of “Cops,” we don’t know what is.

The 30-minute documentary will run today and Friday, October 1 on the Shaw TV Channel 9 loop.

Thanks to Shaw TV for sending over the trailer.
