An open house showing University Heights and Fort Richmond residents what they can expect traffic-wise when the new Winnipeg Blue Bombers stadium is built will be held tonight.

Creswin Properties is hosting the open house — the first of two — in support of St. Norbert Councillor Justin Swandel.

Residents will be able to review and discuss the proposed event day traffic management plan for the new football stadium already under construction at the University of Manitoba.

Tonight’s open house will run from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the gymnasium of Winnipeg Mennonite Elementary School, 26 Agassiz Drive. Entry is through the doors on the north side of the school.

A second open house will be held Thursday, October 7 in the basement of Fort Garry Evangelical Mennonite Church, 602 Pasadena Avenue, from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Members of the traffic management team, including traffic engineers from Stantec and the City of Winnipeg, along with representatives from the Winnipeg Police Service and Winnipeg Transit, will be available to answer questions.
