A fundraiser for Sturgeon Heights Collegiate’s graduation committee proved to be successful on Friday.
Ford Motor Company of Canada offered to donate $20 for every person that took a brand new vehicle for a test drive at the school.
Community members test drove their choice of a 2010 Fiesta, Mustang, Fusion, Taurus, Edge, Escape and F-150 to help raise up to $6,000 in the Drive One 4 UR School program. By 6 p.m., 101 people had already sat in the driver’s seat, helping raise over $2,000 with only an hour left in the fundraiser.
Ford says the most popular vehicle to drive — and not surprising at all — was the 2010 Mustang.
