Junior badminton players will be competing in the Black Knight Junior Elite Badminton Series beginning Friday.
Badminton Manitoba is hosting the event at the Winnipeg Winter Club from October 8 to 10 to showcase the top junior athletes from across Canada.
The 2010 Black Knight Prairie Junior Elite badminton tournament will see champions emerge for Boys’ and Girls’ Singles and Doubles and Mixed Doubles categories in Under 19 and Under 16 age groups. The 2009 Black Knight champ — Manitoba’s own Andrew Harrison — will be defending his title.
Opening rounds start on Friday at 9 a.m. The finals will be held on Sunday beginning at 10 am.
