The pink T-shirts Winnipeg firefighters have been wearing since October 1 in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month are in high demand for the public.

The United Fire Fighters of Winnipeg says local fire halls have been overwhelmed with requests for the shirts, and are currently sold out.

“We have ordered more and we should have more by the weekend,” the UFFW said in a statement.

Proceeds from the T-shirts — available until October 31 — are going towards CancerCare Manitoba’s Breast Cancer Centre of Hope.
