A fully restored 1978 Ford Custom 500 cruiser car was unveiled to the public on Friday.

The vehicle will be placed in the Winnipeg Police Museum after being restored by River City Ford since last winter.

Ford handed the keys over to Winnipeg police Chief Keith McCaskill during a photo op at the dealership.

“We are thrilled to have been a part of this restoration project,” said Barry Skrudland, General Manager River City Ford. “Our body shop did a fabulous job as did our service and detail Departments.”

The vehicle will be on display for members of the public in River City’s showroom the week following the dedication. It will be exhibited at the museum and at cruise nights and car shows throughout the year.
