Royalwood House Fire Causes $1M in Damage

A fire in Royalwood early Tuesday morning caused an estimated $1 million in damage.

The 4,000 square foot home at 790 John Bruce Road became engulfed in flames at about 2:40 a.m.

No one was inside, as the home is currently under construction and under ownership of Hilton Homes.

One firefighter was taken to hospital suffering from smoke inhalation.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
