So many cats, so little room.
That’s the message the Winnipeg Humane Society is communicating to the public, as its shelter is bursting at the seams with tabby and tortoiseshell cats.
“There is no room left at the Inn,” said Bill McDonald, WHS CEO. “We are in another crunch where we need to find space to keep accepting cats.”
The Humane Society says there are 430 cats currently in their care and many more in temporary foster homes.
Today until Sunday, 260 cats six months and older are being offered at a reduced price of $25. This includes spay and neuter surgery, microchip, tattoo, first vaccination, deworming, two-week health check and six weeks of Pet Plan Insurance.
Adoption hours are today from noon to 8 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 6 p.m.
The Winnipeg Humane Society is located at 45 Hurst Way.
