Fringe Festival Putting on a Bastard of a Fundraiser

October 15, 2010 6:00 AM | Entertainment

An arts fundraiser appropriately called Red Bastard will be held at the Gas Station Theatre from November 6-7.

Red Bastard is a dangerous, seductive comedy monster who is helping raise funds for the 2011 Winnipeg Fringe Theatre Festival. Stellar reviews have helped the show to sell out across North America, Europe and Australia.

America’s premiere Bouffon is promised to unleash a pompous theatrical master class in this critically acclaimed show.

Bouffant is a joke told by a nightmare. Red Bastard is not here to please you. He has come to make you surrender, demanding to know nothing less than, “Who the hell do you think you are?” Lines will be crossed and laughs will be plentiful in this audience-engaging, one-of-a-kind show.

Showtime is at 8 p.m. on Friday the 6th and 2 p.m. on Saturday the 7th. Tickets are available for $12.50 until October 23, when the price will go up to $15. Purchase tickets at the MTC Box Office at (204) 942-6537 or at WinnipegFringe.com.
