Judy Wasylycia-Leis put on her best dancing shoes and felt the beat Thursday night to connect with young voters at a social fundraiser.
The mayoral candidate held “Get Your Vote On” at the Pyramid Cabaret to reach the youth demographic and engage with potential voters on a more personal level.
Local bands Magnum KI, Enjoy Your Pumas, LeBeato and Noma Sibanda & the Guerrillas of Soul all took the stage.
This isn’t the first time Wasylycia-Leis has put youth in her sights. A few weeks ago, she launched a text messaging service to update voters on her campaign announcements.
Judy announced last night to have social media pages maintained by the mayor’s office if elected. She also promised to publish open data catalogues that make city-collected data available online.
