The United Way is kicking off its 22nd Koats for Kids program this morning at 3172 Portage Avenue.
The yearly initiative collects and distributes gently used articles of winter clothing to thousands of Winnipeg children and families in need.
Since 1989, more than 145,000 pieces of outerwear have been collected and handed out locally.
Longtime Koats for Kids spokespeople Sylvia Kuzyk from CTV and Laurie Mustard from the Winnipeg Sun will be joined by Beau and Tom from 99.9 BOB FM at the United Way’s Koats for Kids Volunteer Centre at 11 a.m.
