Winnipeg burlesque performer Miss La Muse will open for Hedwig and the Angry Inch on Saturday, October 23.

The rock indie band will play at the Pyramid Cabaret as part of their Canadian Angry Inch 2010 Tour.

The production takes the audience through a tragic story of love, emotional and physical sacrifice, and betrayal. Hedwig and the Angry Inch features an exciting rock ‘n’ roll score by composer Stephen Trask with an outrageous and unexpectedly hilarious story by John Cameron Mitchell.

Hedwig and the Angry Inch opened its official Off-Broadway run on February 14, 1998 at the Jane Street Theatre in the old Hotel Riverview. The show has been embraced by critics and audiences alike, quickly becoming a cult classic.

Showtime is 8 p.m. Tickets are $20 at the door.
