Wake Up Call Giving Voters Civic Election Updates

A new wake up call service is keeping Winnipeg voters up to date on the latest from the civic election campaign trail.

Wake Up Winnipeg is a telephone performance being put on by the Video Pool Arts Centre with local artist Sandee Moore.

The wake up call offers residents an automated recording of what’s new from the mayoral candidates, while not specifically endorsing anyone in particular.

Unlike normal wake up calls, there is no set schedule and Moore makes the daily call whenever she awakes.

This is just another service engaging more voters to come out to the polls this election, which have already been busy with advance voters to date.

Anyone in Winnipeg can sign up for the free service by visiting WakeUpWinnipeg.org, or can simply call and hear the daily recording themselves at (204) 949-9134 ext. 6.
