The Provencher Bridge will be undergoing repairs the next two weekends, partially closing traffic from October 23 to 25 and October 30 to November 1.

The city says the disruption should be minimal as the structure has bridge deck joint repairs performed.

From 6 a.m. on Saturday, October 23 to 5 a.m. on Monday, October 25, the westbound lanes of the Provencher Bridge over the Red River from Waterfront Drive on the west to Tache Avenue on the east will be closed to vehicular traffic. Eastbound lanes will remain open.

From 6 a.m. on Saturday, October 30 to 5 a.m. on Monday, November 1, the eastbound lanes of the Provencher Bridge from Waterfront on the west to Tache on the east will be closed. Westbound lanes will remain open.

Motorists are advised to use either the Louise Bridge, Disraeli Bridge, Redwood Bridge or Chief Peguis Trail to the north and Main and Norwood Bridges to the south.

Pedestrian traffic will not be affected during the repairs, however, Winnipeg Transit routes 10, 43, and 110 will be affected.
