It will be all about the troops this weekend as the Winnipeg Blue Bombers open up another home game against the Argonauts.

A fly-by will take place just before kick off, and a special message on behalf of the troops will be shown on the jumbotron. The game will be a salute to the Canadian Forces and 500 military families will be in attendance as invited guests of the Winnipeg Football Club.

During halftime, the 3rd Annual Canadian Forces Challenge will take place with members of the Army, Navy and Air Force competing against each other in an obstacle course.

Prior to kickoff, the HMCS Chippawa Band will be performing on the west side stage outside the Bomber Store.

The Bombers are also still heavily promoting the importance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, by raising funds for breast cancer research in partnership with the Keeping Abreast Foundation. Pink logo’d toques and scarves are $20 each and proceeds will go towards the Keeping Abreast Fund.

The Blue and Gold will have a playoff spot in their sights as they take to the field at 3 p.m. at Canad Inns Stadium.
