Don’t be afraid when you see a bunch of zombies walking Winnipeg streets at Saturday, those are just the dead returning to take part in the Winnipeg Zombie Walk.
The annual event caught many unassuming motorists off guard last year as zombies made their way through parts of downtown leading up to Halloween. This year is expected to see an even bigger turnout, with about 3,000 people committing to show up according to the event’s Facebook page.
Anyone can join in on the walk by meeting at the Royal Albert Arms parking lot, 48 Albert Street, at 7:30 p.m. The walk will begin at 8:15 p.m.
Henry’s photo store will take photos for $2 or a non-perishable food donation to Winnipeg Harvest.
We’ll have our own photographer on the route and have a photo gallery up later if you can’t make it out.
The walk is expected to last until 10 p.m.
