Students from Collicutt School will put their decorated empty bowls on display today to raise awareness of Winnipeg Harvest’s ‘Empty Bowls’ program.
Local celebrities, including Rocki Roletti, will gather at ice level at MTS Centre between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. for the launch of the program, which addresses issues of hunger and poverty in Manitoba.
Winnipeg Harvest’s ‘Empty Bowls Soup-er Lunch’ will feature a variety of soups and breads for a cost of $10 per person. Tickets are available through Ticketmaster.
Celebrity bowls will be auctioned off following the event.
