Conference to Discuss Life Living with ALS

Manitobans living with ALS will get the chance to share their stories, learn more about clinical relationships and hear an array of medical experts speak on the disease at the upcoming 5th Annual Conference on ALS.

The ALS Society of Manitoba is putting on the event, set for Friday, November 5, to help assist professionals in all disciplines to better understand the disease.

Speakers include Denise Figlewicz,PhD, Dr. Christopher Bourque and Dr. Harvey Max Chochinov.

Registration for the conference at the Deer Lodge Centre, 2109 Portage Avenue, is $85 before October 29 and $90 after. Those living with ALS can attend for free, while family members can attend for half price.

A fundraising dinner in support of the ALS Society of Manitoba will also take place Sunday, November 7. Tickets to the “Friends for Life” dinner at the Fort Garry Hotel are $175 and go towards finding a cure.
